Cost of living and the Spring Budget

We know many small charities are being affected by the cost of living crisis. Charities Aid Foundation's (CAF) latest research shows over half of charities are worried about their ability to deliver services in the current climate. Last week we wrote to the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt calling on him to provide urgent cost of living support to the communities hit hardest by the crisis ahead of the Spring Budget this week.

We're delighted yesterday the Chancellor announced £100 million to support charities at the frontline of the cost of living crisis. He also extended the energy price guarantee scheme which will provide much needed support for households. We're awaiting further detail on the funding. Keep an eye on our news and insights page where we'll share the implications of the Budget for charities.
